Spoilers from Dev Stream #1

  • Traps will now display icons & quantity in the upper left (like minions)
  • Recent chat log messages will be kept between games
  • Uber difficulty levels are being changed from 9 separate levels to 3 brackets (no rune, Vex-Sur, Ber-Zod)
  • Drop rate for exclusive uber items will be increased slightly
  • Shrines will buff all nearby players when clicked
  • Deep Wounds will be fixed (it is currently bugged and has an unintended damage cap of ~1024 damage per source)
  • Corruption Zones
    • Random zones will be temporarily increased to level 85 and enemies within those zones will have better chances to drop worldstone shards
    • Every 15 minutes, a random zone will be selected, and when a game is created, that zone will be "corrupted" for the duration of the game (only applies in Hell difficulty games where Baal's quest has been completed)
  • Infused orbs - each map orb can be pre-combined with other ingredients such as gems/runes/jewels (may be useful for saving space)

  • season start date revealed (September 22)
  • Option to lock charms & equipment within inventory (prevents them from being accidentally moved)
  • New throwing potions for cold/lightning elements, and all throwing potions now apply a small debuff to enemy resistances of their element type (highest potions do -10%)
  • Dragon Claw will trigger all charge effects twice when consuming them (once for each attack since Dragon Claw attacks twice)
  • Fixed damage/tooltip bugs with Dragon Tail
  • Adjusted kick damage bonuses from strength/dexterity (will be heavily focused toward strength rather than purely strength-based)
  • Option to show miniature icons for potions of each belt slot above the main 4 slots (alternative to having the belt open and all 16 large slots visible)
  • Blade Shield will no longer reduce durability (this means it will trigger "on striking" effects instead of "on attack" effects) and it will have a bit more range
  • New unique item (work-in-progress): energy-themed ghost spear (concept and artwork by AerinOboros)
  • New unique map (work-in-progress): "fallen gardens", small secondary zone "diamond gate" where the boss will be (made by Alma)

  • Ice Barrage will change its spread based on the distance of the mouse cursor from the caster
  • Updated D2GL for better performance/new features (made by bayaraa)
  • New Help Screen ("H" hotkey) for PD2 related info
  • Gheed map event has slightly lower chance to offer higher level uniques
  • Adjusting droprates for some items including PDE/PES
  • PvP zones will be openable in act 1 instead of act 5 (scrolls purchased from Gheed instead of Anya)
  • New "Holy Sword" skill which replaces Conversion for Paladin and grants bonuses for two-handed swords (cannot be used alongside Holy Shield)
    • chance to "parry" similar to Weapon Block (no animation)
    • also grants bonus damage to demons/undead
  • Crushing Blow will no longer have a cap for any monsters, and will have greater diminishing returns against prime evils (act bosses, uber bosses, map bosses)
  • Desecrate corpses will dissappear after ~16 seconds to help prevent "shenk bug" and other issues where too many corpses are present
  • Dragon Claw will be uninterruptible
  • New "Hustle" runeword for 3-socket chests which grants Burst of Speed while equipped (reworked version from D2r)
  • New "Innocence" runeword for 4-socket chests which grants Blade Shield while equipped
